We are very blessed to have some friends in our surrounding that inspire us and that are open to sharing a common creative ground. It is actually something that’s very important when you’re working in a creative field, because exchanging with like-minded people, getting an external point of view on something and brainstorming together is one of the best ways get you out of isolation and into growth through experiences.
After understanding “how” to do this, you must find out “where”. A cozy coffee place or shared workspace tends to be a good way to start when co-working with friends, but it’s also intriguing to see what you can get out of it when you are gathering in a more natural landscape, where you have to disconnect and explore, such as a forest. In this natural sanctuary, you can find unexpected answers to any creative questions, and inspiration where you least expect it, if you just accept to keep your eyes wide open and catch the little details. Textures. Colors. Shapes. And when you do this collectively, it’s very compelling to see where and how everyone else seeks beauty, what they find out, as everyone’s eyes and inspirational pin board works differently. They may help you bring your attention into things you normally wouldn’t have noticed. A tree that grew in a hugging motion. An organic pattern on top of a frozen pool of water.
Our friends from the Bamhaus collective have understood this pretty well, and we’re currently coming up with a plan to organize “Creative Walks”. We will announce more of it as we go along.
Little bonus for the end: It’s always more fun when there’s a playful dog around!
