Branding, Collateral, Album Design, Website Design
On top of working with many interesting small businesses, we’ve also been working with a lot of bands & musicians and we absolutely love it. We often share a creative outlook and open mind – this fuels a beautiful creative process which is filled with experimentation and collaboration. One of those awesome projects was with the lovely Lauren who goes by the name of LALU RIGHT.
When Lauren contacted us to create a full visual identity behind her first official musical project, we were beyond excited. We heard samples of her music, got to know her and her style – it was all something we immediately connected with. Lauren is the quintessential, dreamy wild heart with a love for life – this is the pure joy that is reflected in her music. Our mission was to translate all of this visually into imagery that could represent her project for years to come.
We began the project by letting Lauren share all her thoughts with us and what this musical project means to her. The mood board we created was a very collaborative process. As her music sounds simple, happy, joyful and down to earth, we took a lot of inspiration from beach vibes, sunsets and dreamy colours.
This concept then guided precise ideas for the design process.

Designing the project
When it came to color palettes, we knew this project was going to be anything but neutral & muted. However, it wouldn’t be very loud either in terms of color saturation, as the music is meant to be easygoing. So what we did was to simply follow the inspiration from life’s ideal symbol of serendipity: sunsets!
This inspired us to then explore further visual assets of the brand that would evoke beachy, casual vibes. We experimented with some rough hand lettering as well as processing photographs of palms we hot at a botanical garden in Chiang Mai. We then created a logo that would be minimal enough so it could be used as a discreet signature on records, complementing all of the playfulness of Lauren’s brand that would possibly evolve with time. With a few type manipulations it still had a unique flair of its own that makes it timeless.
Playing with single covers
As the brand started coming together, it was time to really gather everything and make it come to life – in particular through Lauren’s new single and EP covers she was about to release. For this collection of tracks, we played with the idea of having a “sun” shape in the middle for the singles – and switching things around with our colors, whereas the EP demanded a more open layout where we involved Lauren herself in the design!
We experimented on turning the singles into some fun GIFS and also creating a very simple landing page for Lauren to connect all her social media links & channels where she publishes her music.
All of this was so much fun to make and it was amazing to see this project come to life together.
Lauren is continuously working on new sounds and has loads of ideas she shares with us. She’s truly creative, ambitious and she gets a lot of inspiration from her travels (like we do). It’s so much fun to follow her journey and to connect through this mutual understanding of what it is to live creatively. Make sure you have a listen to her music on Spotify!
Lauren’s thoughts on our collaboration
“Linda and David are two innovating creatives who created the world I was visualising in my mind. They did an amazing job – through the exchange of a couple of emails and calls, they understood exactly what I was trying to portray.
Their whole process was very enjoyable & most importantly fun! I had so much fun creating this world with them. From the beginning they were very enthusiastic, and partook in the project as if it were their own. Linda & David know how to capture an environment, and have great input & creative ideas. They were the perfect match for my project, I could not have asked for better! Thank you guys again for all of your hard work.”
