David and I are true foodies. We love to cook, we love to eat, and think food is something beautiful to look at. Which is what naturally triggered our interest in food photography! A good food photo is exactly what is going to attract people to try a type of food or a recipe. What makes a good photo even better, though, is working in a photographic style and composition that fits the concept and the story to tell.

We have now worked with food photography on various occasions for our own purposes (our blog posts) but also for clients who hold food blogs, magazines or food businesses such as restaurants. There are so many ways to take a food photo. It’s an art, really. A food photo can tell a story, or simply show a finished product. It can appeal to be light and refreshing, or it can be homey and cosy. It can be using a very minimal composition, or very specific textures that add depth and feeling. It can be taken from the top, from the side, it can be taken on a kitchen counter, on an interesting background or on a festive table.

There are so many aspects to it, and that’s what makes this whole process so interesting.

Linda is a mediterranean wild spirit. People are her primary inspiration and shape her creative world. She likes to experiment with illustration, hand lettering, and custom-made ideas that don’t always involve a computer and is striving to create unique imagery. She’s in love with all things natural, real and meaningful. Half-Luxembourgish and half-greek, she swears by cretan mountain tea from her homeland to keep her fuelled during busy days, and is an avid fan of Wes Anderson movies.
