As some of you know, we are currently in THAILAND!
That’s right. We are living the life of true digital nomads, balancing travel discoveries with serious work hours in remote places. Coffeeshops tend to be our offices around here, and those work hours do include plenty creative experiments, for clients and ourselves. I must say, it’s a challenge to do messy things like hand illustration and hand lettering when you are in these public places. But you know me, I like challenges!
Another thing you probably know about me by now is that I’m quite obsessed with anything botanical. So you can probably imagine my reaction when arriving here and noticing that we are surrounded by an incredible abundance of lush tropical plants. After capturing photos like a maniac and playing with ideas, I decided to turn this inspiration into a little illustration experiment.
Not so little, though. Oh boy. It actually took several hours of trying things out. But it was pretty fun and it reminded me that I need to keep doing these creative things for myself in order to keep evolving and feeding this drive within. Yes, even when it needs to get carved out of a super busy schedule! No excuses – just DO it (yeah, like Shia LaBeouf ;))
The message: Thrive and Be Bold. Just like tropical plants do – doing their thing, not taking no for an answer, and taking over. It’s funny how there are these powerful messages in nature.
Verdict: Be like those tropical plants, people! Find your true path, even if it’s unconventional. Don’t stick to the basics if that’s not your thing. Yeah, you might have some explaining to do, you might have some opinions to deal with, but use this opportunity to inspire and convince with your confidence. Damn, I feel stronger just by writing this already. Don’t you?
