Living creatively is a beautiful thing. It’s said that creative minds constantly push themselves to the limit. That can be a good and, well… a bad thing, too!

These last few days have been so busy and tough to deal with. There are so many things we want to do and so we have so many thoughts to process. I can’t help but feel overwhelmed. VERY overwhelmed! I ask myself questions: Why are doing all of this? What is the point of it all? ...and most of all: Where is this bringing us?

Sometimes, all you want is to know the answer to that question. It often feels like we’re riding this enormous wave, questioning whether or not it will bring us somewhere nice.

The other day I was listening to the album An awesome wave by ALT-J. It had been such a long time since I last listened to it.

The name of the album stuck with me and it got me thinking. Waves fascinate me. They are the perfect symbol of impermanence & continuity. Nothing is permanent, we are all in a moving flow. We have to trust the waves and learn to go with them. Some days scare us, some days soothe us. It’s all in constant movement, and we are never really stuck. There’s a certain beauty in that.

So whenever you feel overwhelmed about life, simply think about this awesome wave you are on, and be grateful about it.
