Am Véierzéng

Am Véierzéng is the cafeteria of Luxembourg’s History Museum. My friend, and owner of the place, José first contacted me because he needed a custom lettering to use inside the place. Later, I got to know what it was all about: it was going to become a really cool, all-vegetarian café with organic food and drinks. José seemed to always have innovative ideas, (he is also the co-owner of Kyosk, another similar spot) and I was glad I could become part of it. And unexpectedly, I became a bigger part of it than I thought I would. After the lettering was done, I did a few tryouts on refreshing the branding, and I actually got hired to re-do the entire graphic identity.

It was a lot of work that had to be done very quickly, but I think most of the stress was the positive kind. Although I wish I could have been better prepared in order to give even better quality, I am really happy about it today as I love the AM14 team and the place itself. It is definitely part of the few things that make Luxembourg go further into open-mindedness and cool concepts and I’m proud to be a part of it. If you are in Luxembourg, you should check it out, the food is delicious. – I even helped to cook once, and spent an awful time peeling fresh green beans! –

Linda is a mediterranean wild spirit. People are her primary inspiration and shape her creative world. She likes to experiment with illustration, hand lettering, and custom-made ideas that don’t always involve a computer and is striving to create unique imagery. She’s in love with all things natural, real and meaningful. Half-Luxembourgish and half-greek, she swears by cretan mountain tea from her homeland to keep her fueled during busy days, and is an avid fan of Wes Anderson movies.
